Jennifer is a Shareholder with Allen Vellone Wolf Helfrich & Factor with over 20 years of experience.  She has a diverse practice that includes representation of a wide variety of both business and individual clients in all aspects of employment law, intellectual property, entertainment, commercial litigation, and business transactions.  Her roster of clients have included small to large-size corporations across a wide range of industries, including software, internet, technology, cannabis, food, retail, and beauty.  Jennifer also provides representation for media personalities, photographers, singers, musicians, authors, publishers, influencers, artists and galleries.

Jennifer’s combined experience in both litigation and transactional matters benefits clients in working through complex issues with practical and careful consideration of all angles of an issue, coupled with creative problem solving. A dedicated team player, Jennifer keeps clients informed through the process, collaborating with clients to ensure that the legal strategy accounts for business realities.  Jennifer also maintains a sense of humor that she brings to her legal practice, and which has helped foster long-term relationships with clients and peers.

Labor and Employment Law

Jennifer routinely represents both employees and employers in mediation, arbitration, litigation and administrative hearings in front of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD) in areas ranging from harassment, retaliation and discrimination claims, non-competition disputes, trade secret misappropriation disputes, and wage and hour disputes.  Jennifer also assists employers in developing workplace policies and procedures, employee handbooks, drafting and negotiating restrictive covenants, separation agreements, and independent contractor agreements.

Intellectual Property and Entertainment:

Jennifer advises clients on a wide variety of intellectual property and commercial transactional matters including trademark clearance, trademark enforcement, portfolio management and analysis, brand protection, copyrights, technology agreements, among others.  She also represents IP owners in all manner of disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in administrative proceedings before the USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).

In her Entertainment practice, Jennifer works with creative individuals and businesses in preparing and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including production agreements, publishing agreements, recording and distribution agreements, collaboration agreements, talent agreements, authorship agreements, commission agreements, and work-for-hire agreements. 

Business Transaction Law

Jennifer regularly counsels businesses on a range of commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, vendor agreements, merchandising agreements, distributor agreements, SaaS agreements, purchase and sale agreements, commercial lease agreements, business formation and entity organizational documents, among others.
