James S. Helfrich

James S. Helfrich spent three years in Manhattan as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He then moved to Colorado where he worked as an associate at Gersh & Danielson and then as a founding partner at Gersh & Helfrich, LLP. James moved to Allen Vellone Wolf Helfrich & Factor P.C. in November 2010, where he continues to focus in commercial and securities litigation.

James has helped hundreds of clients obtain justice in cases involving securities fraud, breaches of contract and fiduciary duty, bankruptcy, civil rights and environmental violations, illegal business practices, Ponzi schemes, real estate disputes, and bodily injuries.

He has received the highest peer rating from Martindale Hubbell AV®, is a sought-after speaker for continuing legal education seminars, and has been selected by his peers as one of Colorado’s SuperLawyers® annually since 2009.

In addition to his work at Allen Vellone Wolf Helfrich & Factor P.C., James coordinates volunteer legal aid clinics at the Denver Rescue Mission, Salvation Army of Denver, Providence Network, Communities of Faith United, Samaritan House, and the More Life Center; serves on the advisory board the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid clinic.
