Updates on Executing Legal Documents and Remote Notarization

To address the issues of executing legal documents and notarization during this time of social distancing, Governor Polis issued Executive Order D 2020 019, suspending the personal appearance requirement for notarization.

Also, The Colorado Secretary of State issued the Notice of Temporary Adoption for the Colorado Notary Program Rules temporary rule 8 CCR 1505-11.  For more information, please visit www.sos.state.co.us.
